Summer's Almost Over! We've had Summer Breezes, Heat Waves, Green Leaves of Summer, Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikinis, Summer Places, Blue Skies, and Stormy Weather. Some are sending their children back to school and taking last-minute vacations. For me, it's been a month of adding more Broadway hits to my repertoire. Last month I focused on South Pacific (and coordinated those songs into a collection with other musicals where there were military characters). Oh, How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning (Irving Berlin from a WWI & WWII musical review) to Bye Bye Birdie, and The Age of Aquarius (from Hair). This month, it's Oklahoma and Annie Get Your Gun with some other additions from Paint Your Wagon, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (and other movie & Broadway songs while Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head...). Lots of fun! In my last news, I mentioned I would be making some updates to my official music website. I've left my other domain web versions as they are for now (see everything here: PCSnyderCreativeOffices.com), while working on making my performance services website more functional. Most of those changes are in effect now, so feel free to check it out at PCSnyderMusic.com. Note, I am offering speaking services as well as live music performances. This has been added to my repertoire of activities. My Toastmasters Group - Captivating Dialogue - is hosting an open House on August 31, 2016 in Raleigh. Any Raleigh area locals interested? RSVP on Eventbrite! The event is free (including refreshments). This is a great supportive place to build confidence, leadership, and speaking skills. Please also visit and "like" our Toastmasters Facebook Page. Continue on for more news about upcoming performances and activities! Paula |

Paula C Snyder Downtown Cary Farmer's Market is located at 135 W Chatham Street, Cary, NC. They have live music most Saturdays from 9:30am to 11:30am. Here are this year's remaining dates where I will be singing my heart out at the Downtown Cary Farmers Market:
I have been sticking with guitar/vocal performances due to the significant heat, but hope to lug my keyboard along in the Fall. Pick up an original CD, Meet Cookie (the dog) illustrated song, or some Pick Pretties Earrings while you're visiting. Don't forget to tip! (Thank you.) The other merchants have fresh produce, other food and gift items, so stop by! Do note, there is still construction in the area of Downtown Cary right now. Parking and walking down some of the streets may be more limited than usual, but there are available parking lots nearby. |

Grandma Paula In June, Grandma Paula had 2 very successful sessions in a single day with the girls at Girl Scout Camp. In 55 minutes, each group selected themes, brainstormed ideas, pulled simple lyrics together, and learned a melody (I assisted & structured due to time constraints). At the end, the girls knew their original songs well enough to perform them the following day (without me), and some of the older girls even choreographed some dance moves to go along. The camp was able to get some video (though I don't have a copy of it). It was a very exciting and powerful exercise, and I received a wonderful reference from the lady who hired me! Read the reference here. I enjoyed preparing some new pre-school programs with the themes of Superheros and Candid Camera (school requests). I worked with several other pre-schools and entertained at a birthday party too. You can still order |

Amber & Paula Daughter & Mother: Amber is keeping extremely busy with her non-profit, Activate Good. The next big event coming up for the non-profit is 911 day of service where there may be some creative family activities on site during their commemoration. Amber & I will be volunteering during that time, but we should be working on our 2016 holiday performance schedule soon. We may accept occasional duet performance invitations (a wedding or other special event?) You can always ask!
