The Story: While recording "This Christmas Catcus" and "Your Place Christmas Eve",
my studio producer suggested writing (what he called) a "fluff" holiday song.
The other two songs were significant stories. I wrote "Like Christmas Morning" easily with a positive joyful sense.
That's all we needed to round out the EP of 3 Christmastime holiday songs!
1) It’s Christmas morning! I jump out of bed. Pull my red sweater down over my head.
Run down the stairs like some crazy kid -- Just like I did in the past.
My heart is reeling. Not sure of the reason. It’s probably all part of the Christmas season.
The sparkling displays in the neighborhood - I’ve dreamed that this feeling will last.

2) You might worry about bills we should pay, but, I’d rather focus on sunnier days.
When your face glows near the warm fireplace and we’re getting cozy at home.
A sprig of mistletoe, you give me a kiss. Love grows around us like this.
The shining star at the top of the tree is truly shining for you and me.
