Staying Inspired TODAY! "Show Your Work"

Staying Inspired show work 3 16 20
While the media continues to report details about our current pandemic, the future outlook seems uncertain. We’ve been instructed to limit many of our activities, and find ourselves guessing about worst case scenarios.   It’s human nature to be frightened about the unknown, which causes further fear, panic, hoarding, isolation, and hopelessness.Perhaps if we find ways to SHOW OUR WORK - and its positive impact on others, we can brighten our present – and future outlook.  The idea came to me while reading a book by Austin Kleon. “Show Your Work! 10 ways to share your creativity and get discovered” is full...

What Are We Doing to Stay Inspired TODAY?

Staying Inspired 3 6 20
With all the newscasts/social media posts regarding Corona virus, stock market dips, presidential elections, (plus our everyday natural disasters, robberies, murders, and people who do stupid things) – a girl – or anyone - could get depressed!Just the other day, I saw a Facebook post suggesting we rate our level of worry (from 1 to 10) about the impact of Corona Virus. If I were to put a lot of thought into that discussion, I’d be even more worried! It didn’t make sense to RATE my level of worry. Instead, I acknowledged the issue with a remark that I’d rather focus...

Staying Inspired - a Literary Work in Progress

My name is Paula C Snyder. I am not a medical doctor or PhD. My college Bachelor’s Degree shows a major in Psychology. (I use it on myself to stay sane).   I am a vocalist, musician, songwriter, artist, and motivational speaker with fairly equal right and left brain function. I am mature (after ripening for years), and experienced (plenty of bad with some amazing goods).  What do I know about “Staying Inspired”? Staying Inspired is how I survive whatever life throws at me, and still end up in a joyful state. I know the benefits of staying inspired because I have experienced...

Resolve Resolutions

2016 resolve to resolute
If you are like most people, as the end of the year approaches, you begin to formulate New Year's Resolutions.  Gung ho!  Everything sounds WOW on paper.  Raising the bar, you vow to create more, more regularly, spend 1 hour writing a day, or create 5 pair of earrings tomorrow.  Publish an album of music this coming year!  Earn $1,000,000 in royalties by next Christmas.  Get a publisher to notice you.  (Right?) I do it to myself as well.  Realistically, at least I try to set some goals to work towards (though I don't wait until the end of the year to...

A Serenade?

VersesToGo.com
Are you considering the gift of a singing telegram?  Singing telegrams can be used for many things - to jest, to honor, to romance, or to celebrate. Lately, I have been getting more frequent requests for singing telegrams.  I prefer the word "Serenade" because I don't dress up in some funky costume & act silly.  Instead, I propose to sing something meaningful to the recipient, that will enforce the giver's sentiments.  Sometimes I add a custom poem (aka Verses to Go), which can be included as a concrete keepsake for the recipient.  (Verses to Go can be ordered on-line (VersesToGo.com) all over...
